“I photograph scenery and construction sites and use the photographs as a starting point for painting. Like the Impressionists, I strive to express a specific feeling of time and place. Unlike them, I do not paint nature directly, but reconstruct the experience in the studio.”

“The refinement of the act of looking is the key to painting. When you are moved by the harmony of colors and forms that is in front of you, this is the right moment to begin a painting. On the other hand, maintaining this emotion is a difficult task: the painting requires time to be achieved. Through this whole process, you have to keep in mind what moved you in order to reach harmony without loosing the freshness of the first impression”.
Immigrated to Israel in 1995.
