The winner of the Osnat Mozes young artist painting prize for the year 2010

Elad Rosen’s painting is filled with expectation for that which is yet to come – a new sign language, an alternative geography, a Messiah who may appear and redeem the painting of its misgivings. Using a palette of colors directly from the tube and primal Hieroglyphic handwriting, Rosen aspires to create fundamental emotions – laughter and tears, high and low culture, destruction and utopia.
In honor of his heterogenic and experiential works, his straight-forward and captivating language and emerging potential, Elad Rosen was awarded the Osnat Moses Young Artists Painting Prize for 2010.
