The Space Between the Cherubs Intertwines Image with Abstract

These series of works are composed of mixed media drawings on paper, and color drawings on parquet straps. The way the cherubs are placed on the ark of testimony is described in precise detail, opposing to the highly detailed way they are placed, their image remains a riddle. Is it a human image, sort of winged angels or maybe just animals? Between the two cherubs remains a space that creates a contrast between what is planed in a definite matter and what is void, open and unreachable (transcendent). This space creates the connection to revelation.
