The Fabric of My Life
Hanna Hillel
26 Jul — 21 August, 2003
Hanna Hillel embarked on her artistic career with embroidery – an artwork seeped in elements of the “traditional’ and the “feminine.”
The artist Miron Sima discovered Hillel’s talents and encouraged her to branch out into painting. Throughout the course of her artistic endeavors, Hillel never veered from her preferred artistic genre of the naïve. Hillel’s untimely illness brought an end to her work. This exhibition, The Fabric of My Life, displays a variety of works from every period of the artist’s career.
