I Am Longing on Your Behalf
Out of longing for the Middle Eastern Magic, locked within the stories of our mothers, we wanted to patch up and tie torn threads of mother and daughter whose ties are always intense and difficult. The chain of women’s creative arts conferred from generation to generation in embroidery, sewing, molding clay pots, concocting sweets and drying herbs, considered for years to be inferior to men’s artistic dialog and as belonging only to the sphere of the home, is weaved into our creative produce out of honor and love to the traditional Women’s Art.
