Exhibition in the 22nd Nidbach series
Facts, expectations, objects, the place, and the time—an inventory of the things revealed to a visitor to the exhibition. Keinan’s work challenges the viewer by probing its boundaries, requiring a closer observation of the interrelations between the objects. The passage between the exhibition rooms is obstructed and the view is blocked, like a seal on water; air volumes imprisoning the threshold, the passageway between the rooms, and the window to the world. The massive objects in the exhibition are but a possibility of suspension, and the place that was before is no longer the same, because a man cannot enter the same river twice. In her exhibition, Keinan proposes a limited plot recounted as a single essence, offering a type of vigilance, an alertness to the objects and the world.
