“Anat Barel’s and Hana Ben Haim Yulzeri’s exhibit is a three part eulogy. It is a eulogy of loss, missing, and yearning – about a mother’s inability to watch over and protect her child. It’s about a woman mourning herself. The most concrete presence in this exhibit is that which is lacking, that which is absent. In three recluse and Zen-like spaces, the two artists created an intriguing dialogue between the spaces and the objects designed for these spaces. The three spaces encourage the weaving of a time – like a narrative: walking between these spaces is like walking in time: the woman’s identity is integrated and disintegrated, as the child appears and disappears.”
