“Lubna Nawatha’s works are in black and white.
The color is for the artist, also a world of material and images. A nun, flour and charcoal: at first sight, these words describe minimalists or basics values contents. The world of association resounds beyond a discern and clear situation; and from this contracted verbal position, creates Lubna a sensual and dialectic experience.
On the floor, Lubna disperses white flour and black charcoal, side by side and the melting process begins, material into material. The interesting thing is the blur projection of these materials on the spectator. The black (charcoal) and the white (flour) blur the observer point of view and produce a curtaining experience above the space…”
