Exhibition No.8 in the Nidbach 12 Series

“My art starts in the streets: the auto garage’s, the barber shops and the different stores, the way they are designed, their signposts, their names and characterizing symbols – all these expose a visual and textural world to me that is somewhat obsolete, seemingly vulgar, coarse and crude…my painting is violent and phlegmatic; phlegmatic in the way the image is created. Names appear in my pieces in different forms – sometimes in the title and other times these names are spread out and fill up the page and become the center image themselves (Avi Sabach – taken from a conversation with Irit Hemo).
