4th exhibition in the 18th Nidbach series: Topography of a Wound
Barak Daly
Curator: Jelin Ziva
27 Apr — 15 June, 2013
Barak Daly, a graduate of Sapir College Art Scholl, presents an installation that combines clay, light, sound and video. Barak draws from the use of clay, which is an allegory to muddy ground, a kind of fictional landscape, mountainous and cracked, and uses it to create a transformation to the body’s wounds and pain.
Beams of light emerging from the clay clumps, smoke, a door is slammed, suddenly an object falls and reflects on the floor; all of which creates a disturbing environment, topography of violence and fear.
