“The Joining point between Amar derbas and Ran Kismi is not explicit. This is a meeting between two controversial worlds – which creates a variety of deceptions and covers, driven from anxiety.
Derbas paintings are characterized by associative figuration, raw strategy and perfect free fantasy. They avoid clarity and definition and create a dream-like sensation. The naive fantasy of belonging is aware to the fact that when you look ahead, you ignore all the rest.
The accuracy and clearness in the drawing method of Kismi facing Derbas disorder. If Derbas present an open construction, Kismi present, allegedly, a closed and resolved forum. A figurative drawing type, handled well through photograph.” (David Wakstein)
