If you look hard<br \/>\nenough, you might be rewarded by seeing them. Photography for me is a gift<br \/>\nthat enables me to see\u201d.<br \/>\nHe immigrated to Israel in 1971.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Jonathan Ofek<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Born in 1973, Jerusalem.<br \/>\nStudied ceramic design at Bezalel Academy of Fine Arts and Art studies at Haifa University. He was apprenticed at a foundry, using the lost wax<br \/>\ntechnique. He also has worked as a shepherd at the desert, before becoming assistant to the sculpture Aaron Ben-Arie, designing and building public sculptures around the country.<br \/>\nHe currently teaches sculpture and material technology at the Jerusalem High School of Arts and is managing the ceramic art workshop at Ein Yael Open Museum in Jerusalem.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Abba Richman<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Born in 1948, London, England.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Studied graphic design and photography at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0&#8220;Photography is my pleasure as well as my profession. I shy away<br \/>\nfrom photographing glorious sunsets, flowers, animals and beautiful things<br \/>\n(or people). I find myself again and again looking at ordinary everyday<br \/>\nobjects &#8211; at garbage, at the man in the street&#8230;&#8221;<br \/>\nHe immigrated to Israel in 1967.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Georgette Batlle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Born in 1942, USA.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Studied painting and graphic art at the Pratt Institute, New York, and drawing with Frank Riley in New York.<br \/>\nSince l969 she has lived alternately between Jerusalem and New York.<br \/>\n&#8220;I use\u00a0silhouette to eliminate fine detail, the aim being toward a more abstract image..\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">She immigrated to Israel in 1968.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Ben Simon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Born in 1974,USA<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Ben studied fine art at Rhode Island School of Design, Queens College, Colorado University, and the Boulder Academy of Fine Art. He has a BA in Visual Arts and Art History from Columbia University. His work has been shown in several galleries in New York.<br \/>\nHe USA. immigrated to Israel in 2004.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Andi Arnovitz<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Born\u00a0in 1959, USA.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Andy has a BFA\u00a0in graphic design from Washington University, USA.\u00a0She worked as Art Director for advertising agencies in New York, Georgia and Atlanta. She studied printmaking in Atlanta and started to work with this technique ten years ago. She has exhibited at\u00a0the Jerusalem\u00a0Print Workshop, and at the Artspace Gallery. Her work was shown in Tel Aviv,\u00a0Barcelona,\u00a0Paris, Finland, Bulgaria and Poland.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">&#8220;I create etchings, monoprints and silk-screens, often manipulating the paper, sewing and folding\u00a0my prints,\u00a0creating layers of images, and constantly drawing on the inspiration of living in Jerusalem.&#8221;<br \/>\nImmigrated to Israel in 1999.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Oded Seidel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Born in 1960, Jerusalem.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Oded graduated in graphic design at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.\u00a0He has a MA in Business Administration from the Hebrew University. He has shown at Aggripas 12 Gallery.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">&#8220;I photograph scenery and construction sites and use the photographs as a starting point for painting. Like the Impressionists, I strive to express a specific feeling of time and place. Unlike them, I do not paint nature directly, but reconstruct the experience in the studio.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Hanna Doukhan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Born in 1966, France.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Hanna studied at the Jerusalem Studio School between 2001 &#8211; 2004.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">She studied graphic design at The College of Management in Jerusalem.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">She has a MA in Sociology of Organizations, CNAM\/HEC, Paris and a\u00a0MA in Business Administration from ESC, Rouen.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cThe refinement of the act of looking is the key to painting. When you are moved by the harmony of colors and forms that is in front of you, this is the right moment to begin a painting. On the other hand, maintaining this emotion is a difficult task: the painting requires time to be achieved.
