Shay Abady \u2013Arendt Project \u2013 Curator: Daniel Cahana-Levensohn<\/p>\n
October 2006 is the 100th anniversary of Hannah Arendt\u2019s (1906-1975), one of the most influential thinkers of the 20th Century. Though Arendt\u2019s complex thought and personality were the source for a long controversy, in recent years there is a revived interest in Arendt in Israel.
\nThe Arendt Project creates a dialogue between her portraits and the conceptual representations of her world. Abady focuses on her personality and on the way her changing visual images mirror the turmoils of the twentieth century. A catalogue will accompany this exhibition, including text by Tali Tamir, Michal Ben-Naftali, and others.<\/p>\n
This exhibition is Curtecy of the Heinrich Boll Foundation and the Goethe Institut, Jerusalem<\/p>\n
