The exhibit confronted the many conflicts between religious and secular Jews, especially those that involve perception of time and space, with current religious-secular issues serving as a backdrop.
\nThe exhibit focused on the format of the poster as a social medium. With its rich history of social and political protest, the poster serves as a meeting point between the culture of art galleries and that of the street.
\nDemocracy, tradition, reverence and irreverence, poetry, prayer and authority are all topics that were examined through the artist\u2019s prism, with criticism and empathy as one.
\nThe exhibit was held in Jerusalem, the symbol and focus of the religious-secular conflict.
\nThe interior design of the facility took on the image of one large poster, or billboard.<\/p>\n
The project was initiated and produced by The Artists House, and the artists Yael Katz Ben-Shalom and Eyal Ben Dov.<\/p>\n
Fifteen religious and secular artists participated with works of plastic art, photography and poetry:
