Where is this melancholy embodied \u2013 is it in the bored-like, desperate figures, in the frozen social situations, or in the laborious picturesque treatment of the color areas? And maybe the melancholy is nothing but an illusion, an inevitable legacy of art history imposed on the artist, on her work and on us, the viewers?<br \/>\nThe observation of Yitzhaky\u2019s work raises fundamental questions about human existence that moves away from entities. An existence that is incompatible with the alleged language of painting and is no longer suitable to represent it.
