{"id":2008,"date":"2022-04-03T09:44:50","date_gmt":"2022-04-03T09:44:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/artists.wwwnlsrc4.supercp.com\/?post_type=exhibitions&#038;p=2008"},"modified":"2022-05-02T13:38:40","modified_gmt":"2022-05-02T13:38:40","slug":"insomnia","status":"publish","type":"exhibitions","link":"https:\/\/art.org.il\/en\/exhibitions\/insomnia\/","title":{"rendered":"INSOMNIA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Hadassa Wollman\u2019s exhibition addresses the intermediate state in the consciousness of a wakeful individual between nighttime and the vague threshold of dawn, the dream kingdom between sleep and wakefulness.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The exhibition comprises three bodies of work: collages being presented here for the first time; nocturnal paintings based on them; and a new suite of \u201cwhite\u201d paintings. Together they outline the time span \u2013 the crack, as the artist calls it \u2013 between darkness and light, covert and overt, irrational and rational, wild and controlled. Next to these Wollman presents a meditative drawing diary created over two years, before falling asleep.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Wollman is attentive to the oasis of nightly silence and the stillness of dawn\u2014a refuge from the white noise of daytime, which enables dissociation of mind and spirit, allowing for creativity and inspiration.
