Golan creates Flower-Thorns which reflect and analyze the existential-Israeli reality. He combines different materials thus creating somewhat geological and substantial unpleasant layers. His works, primarily sketches, which are dominated by earthy and sandy colors, are rarely lightened by a passing patch of color, secretly presenting the viewer with the realization that there is more there than meets the eye.
