These images might have been considered as caricatures if it wasn\u2019t for the almost verbal superb quality of Okuns art of painting. The picturesque sphere is build by tension systems; without being drawn toward Surrealism, an ongoing dialogue is created with the painting traditions, mostly those of the Italian Mannerism, also creating an opening for a new private and public language.<br \/>\nOkun\u2019s works are narrative by nature, combined into a system of apocalyptic images in which the intimate space is penetrated by a violent reality, describing the gaze drawn to look upon the horror, without the ability to be moved aside.
